libupnp6-dev software package provides Portable SDK for UPnP Devices, version 1.6 (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libupnp6-dev
libupnp6-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libupnp6-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libupnp6-dev *
You will get with libupnp6-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
